After A 47-Hοur Labοr, A First-Time Mοther Fiпds Out She Is Exρectiпg Twiпs Oпly Miпutes After Giviпg Birth Tο Her Newbοrп DaughterNicole Ziesemer, 31, and Matthew Ziesemer, 34, of Grand Haven, Michigan, were introduced to their daughter Blakeley only when doctors realised they were parents. Everyone in the labour room was stunned when Nicole Ziesemer gave birth to her second child after a very lengthy and difficult labour. When doctors stitched her after delivery, they discovered “another head,” and 59 minutes later, infant Cade was born.
Nicole, a young woman from Grand Haven, Michigan, chose to have a natural pregnancy without an ultrasound in order to remain oblivious that she was carrying twins. Nicole and Mathew avoided ultrasounds, scans, and even a planned home delivery that was cancelled when Nicole went into labour earlier than expected. Nicole experienced severe morning nausea during her pregnancy and decided to forego painkillers in favour of breathing techniques, yoga, and cool baths. Except for the scan on the day she gave birth, she had none throughout her entire pregnancy.
Nicole had planned to give birth naturally at home with only a midwife present, but when her water broke at 36 weeks gestation, she was forced to go to the nearest hospital, Gerber Memorial in Michigan. After more than 45 hours of labor, the expecting mother requested an epidural, which was used in conjunction with a suction device to deliver her 4-pound, 4-ounce daughter at 10:06 p.m. on December 30, 2017. Nicole and Matthew Ziesemer are excited to become parents for the first time and are preparing for the birth of a child whose gender they do not yet know. Nicole, 31, was still in labour when doctors stitched her up for postpartum care, which was a further jolt to the couple.
The fact that Nicole is still in agony after giving birth is causing physicians increasing concern. Nicole’s vagina was about to be sutured when it was discovered that she was carrying a second child. They requested an ultrasound immediately to corroborate their hypothesis. Five pounds and fifty-nine minutes later, Nicole delivered a baby boy. The babies were delivered healthy despite the parents and midwives experiencing an emotional roller coaster throughout the entire delivery process. Really. No indication exists that I am harbouring multiple children; in fact, people often comment on how petite I am. When they told us there was another child, we were flabbergasted and I asked her if she was telling the truth
