We’ve all heard of the many instances in which doctors and nurses go the extra mile to make their patients feel comfortable and happy when they’re in a tragic, or unforeseen, medical situation; one nurse has gone as far as staging a fake wedding for his little patient who really wanted to get married! These heartwarming stories come in an abundance, and this video is just another example of nurses trying to cheer up a little girl.
3-year-old Madison has been in the hospital for the past few days because of a nasty flu; we all know children can get cranky and whiny when they’re sick, especially if they’re not in the comfort of their own homes, and can use a bit of fun to help pass the sickness. Madison’s case may just be the same, so the nurses in her department decided to put on a quick show to lighten the child’s mood
The staff at the hospital quickly picked up on Madison’s obsession over the hokey-pokey and used this to their advantage. How? An entourage of nurses got together and thought it would be a good idea to perform the hokey-pokey dance for the sick girl, who in return had a blast watching their little performance!
The child is so overwhelmed with happiness that she’s seen laughing and clapping her hands as the nurses succeed in their plan of putting a smile on their patient’s face. 3-year-old Madison is seen cheering the ladies on and clasps her hand to her mouth in awe when the performance comes to an end.
The staff at the hospital in Springfield, IL, should really be rewarded for all the initiative they put into ensuring that their patients don’t go to bed without a smile on their faces! We definitely commend their efforts and the wonderful dance party they threw in Madison’s room! Now that’s a happening party for a 3-year-old.
